Free Love As Economic Waste

Time was that women almost invariably bartered sex for other goods, services and benefits. That they sometimes actually enjoyed what they pretended to be oh-so reluctantly parting with in exchange for said goods was, of course, their little commercial secret. Now, women increasingly exchange sex for, well, sex. That is, they sleep with such men as turn them on, free gratis and for nothing, except that if they can’t talk to them in the morning they throw them out. This may be a perfectly satisfactory way of spending their time, but one cannot help wondering how long it will take them to realise that it is also seriously lousy economics.
